THE WEEKEND CORNER: Heaven is Counting On You

Have you ever heard of Ray Boltz before?

One of the genuine gospel singers who has eventually become a gay singer!

This week, I’d share with you the lyrics of one of his songs as it is my theme song for the week – summarising some of the things I learnt this week, and then we’d share the lessons gained from our personal lives this week in the comments section… ๐Ÿ˜„

The title of the song is Heaven is counting on you by Ray Boltz and Steve Millikan (Thank God for Gift Omoruyi who gave me this song, sometime last year). God bless you Gift. ๐Ÿ˜˜

HEAVEN IS COUNTING ON YOU

Heaven is counting on you
Run with a heart that is true
Carry the cross, reaching the lost
Heaven is counting you!

We are standing at the end of time
We are part of a grand design
We are grateful to the risen Lord
For the others who have gone on before
I hear voices in the heavenlies
They are calling to you and me
Saying rise up
There is a world you can win
I hear them saying again

Heaven is counting on you
Run with a heart that is true
Carry the cross, reaching the lost
Heaven is counting you!

Many suffered
Even gave their lives
For the message of the risen Christ
Now they are watching
Seated high above
Shouting to us as we run

Heaven is counting on you
Run with a heart that is true
Carry the cross, reaching the lost
Heaven is counting you!

There is a race
There is a prize
There is a price to pay
And the saints beyond cheer us on today!

Heaven is counting on you
Run with a heart that is true
Carry the cross, reaching the lost
Heaven is counting you!

Although Ray Boltz is still currently attached with a gay group, you can see how spiritual his songs were, hence I implore you to pray earnestly for him – that God will restore him, for I know that, “once there is life, there is hope”, and most importantly I pray for you – your faith will not fail, you would not compromise, for heaven is counting on you!

So, it’s the weekend corner again, what have you learnt this week?

Once it’s 8pm, you are free to share with us your story.๐Ÿ˜ƒ

See you at the top!

BethEl ’19: The Joining of Two Glorious Destinies to Form One

I’m elated to be here today!

As in ehn! God saved me from an accident on my way to Ibadan for this wedding. Devil don miss road. Hallelujah!

Attending this wedding – BethEl ’19 was an experience to be much remembered for me.

I mean look at mama Lizzy and her sweet heart (bro. Yakubu Michael) Aren’t they lovely ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Dancing time!

Oya now… ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Can you feel the dancing, that sister can dance for Jesus ooo, don’t try her, she will win you!

The Couples with the siblings of the Bride

Yea, yea! Meet the couples with the siblings of the Bride: Esther Oyekunle (on the far left), Eunice Oyekunle (the lady closest to the bride) and Elijah Oyekunle (The man of the house) ๐Ÿ˜.

They are such a wonderful family, aren’t they?

Salt and the groom!

Okay, I’m glad I finally got to meet with the groom in person for the first time… he’s a big man ooo, a lecturer in a federal university for that matter…

Meet the Giant Male Bloggers (Where is Iremide Akinsola ooo ๐Ÿ™ˆ)

And now, I got to meet two giant bloggers who are males (we don’t have too many of them around… lol). Funny enough I’ve been wanting to see Adegbola Goodness (adegbolagoodness.wordpress.com), not knowing that this wedding would bring us together! Speaking with Olajide David (gospelbreed.com) was inspiring, I mean I learnt some things I didn’t really know before, thanks bro… You know how I got to know him? Guess!

Okay, tell me your answer in the comments section (The first two persons to get it would receive recharge cards)… ๐Ÿ˜‰

Senior brother in blogging matters – Iremide Akinsola , you’re the next male blogger I look forward to meeting in person๐Ÿ™ˆ. I know God will connect us together in His time! ๐Ÿ˜

Sir, keep up the good work! God bless you!

Raconteurs in action

In life, we get to meet with special people, and this people (Raconteurs) are no exception, as in I love this family, oh yes! We are a family, and Lizzy Oyebola Yakubu is our teacher๐Ÿ˜. Visit De-raconteur.com, if you want to know more about this special breed!

The Grooms Men

Finally, meet the grooms men. We got to know each other for the first time and we connected instantly. Mehn! I enjoyed the time with this lovely set of individuals! Let me not bore you with our plenty names, aren’t we tush? I mean check us out, we are radiating the glory of Jesus.

Give your life to Jesus today if you want to be as handsome as we are๐Ÿ˜

You know, scripture says:

“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing , and obtaineth favour of the Lord.” – Proverbs 18:22

Thank God for Bro. Michael (I congratulate you sir๐Ÿคฉ) who has found a wife and obtained God’s favour.

The Lord bless your home, Lizzy!

Seriously, beyond this earthly ๐ŸŒ union, there is an heavenly wedding that is soon to take place, I tell you, I will be there, what about you?

See, I tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed myself in this wedding, how much sweeter shall the heavenly wedding be. Oh! That wedding shall be great, I mean splendid!

If you want to be a part of this heavenly wedding, then you must be dressed in heavenly wedding clothes, do you know what that is?

It’s called righteousness, in other words, holiness, that is, the righteousness that comes from Christ.

“And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” – Revelation 19:8

Do you know that you must be saved before you can be a saint? As in, how can be arrayed in clean and white linen (the wedding garments), if you have not been saved? I know someone reading these post now, wants to be saved. If you want to be, just say this after me:

Lord, I thank You for sending Jesus to die on the cross for my sins, I know that I am a sinner, but I confess my sins right now (mention each one by one), and turn away from sin by Your grace from today. Thank You Lord for answering my prayers, I am saved, I am free from all sin. I receive Your grave to go and sin no more, in Jesus’ name I pray ๐Ÿ™. Amen!

If you want to reach me personally, please send me a mail @ ashibuogwue1@gmail.com

The Weekend Corner with Salt Ashibuogwu

The Weekend Corner is a segment of the blog devoted to encourage you to actively engage in personal development. And I’m so excited to bring this to you.

It took me such a long time to finally get this started for some reasons but if it is not now, I really donโ€™t know when. It just has to be now!

By the Weekend Corner, I mean, we would be sharing with each other what ever lessons we gained from our personal bible studies, meditations, church services attended during the week, messages or sermons listened to, personal inspirations you are willing to share, or any word the Holy Spirit is laying on your heart to share with everyone on this platform in the comments section.

The time is 8pm (GMT +1) every Saturday.

Therefore, I gladly welcome you on board ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜.

I know you are interested in personal development and that’s why you are here, so lovingly tell all your friends, colleagues and contacts about this forum. I look forward to seeing you every weekend.

It’s not Over Until its Over: Lessons from Tottenham vs. Ajax

Lessons from Ajax vs. Tottenham

On Tuesday, the 7th of May, 2019, Liverpoolย shocked the worldย by overcoming a 3-0 semifinal deficit to bounce Lionel Messi and Barcelona from the Champions League. It was one of the most remarkable European victories in the history of a club thatโ€™s known for remarkable European victories; it seemed inconceivable that any team would top it for some time (Fivethirtyeight.com).

Just 24 hours later, Tottenham Hotspur answered the call.

The London club pulled off a dramatic comeback โ€” its second Champions League thriller in a month โ€” in the final seconds of Wednesdayโ€™s semifinal against Ajax, which means that for just the second time in the competitionโ€™s history, two English teams will play in the final match.

According to the FiveThirtyEight Soccer Power Index (SPI), none of this was supposed to happen. Before the second legs of the two semifinals, SPI gave Tottenham a 25 percent chance to advance to the final and Liverpool just a 7 percent chance. But both teams pulled off the very, very unlikely, and now Madrid will be overrun on June 1 with overserved British fans chanting the names of their favorite players.

Seriously, guys I want you to learn from Ajax, it’s not over until the final whistle.

Are you strong in the Lord and His grace NOW, beware lest you fall like Ajax and Barcelona, watch and pray lest you enter temptation. Remember: “let him that thinks he standeth, take heed lest he fall… ” 1 Corinthians 10:12

Or are you weak like Liverpool or Tottenham? Don’t give up, miracles still happen in the eleventh hour!

What lessons did you gain from watching the match, or reading this post.

I’d love to hear from you!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Sharing is caring. Please share ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Liverpool Barca ’19

You will never walk alone!

I watched today’s game (highlights though…), and seriously, I was thrilled!

I never expected Liverpool to win in this manner…

In case you didn’t watch the match, Liverpool made record by winning Barcelona the great 4-0…

Liverpool produced one of the greatest comebacks in Champions League history to beat Barcelona 4-0 on Tuesday, overturning a three-goal first-leg deficit and advancing to the final with a 4-3 aggregate victory.

Let me make you laugh a little, see what I screenshot from a friends WhatsApp status… ๐Ÿ˜‚

I know some of my friends would be surprised to see me blog about football, yes, I actually watch football! (Although I’ve never watched a 90 minute game yet since 2009 I guess, I just stick with highlights and online commentaries ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Thinking about the match, I learnt that even in the moment of greatest loss, Don’t Give Up!

Now back to you, enjoy the pictures I saw on some of my friends status also…

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And donโ€™t be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm, thereโ€™s a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And youโ€™ll never walk alone
Youโ€™ll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And youโ€™ll never walk alone
Youโ€™ll never walk alone

I love the lyrics of this wonderful theme song of Liverpool. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you will never walk alone!

If you are a Christian (A Christian is not just a church goer, but one who has been set free from sin, and has peace with God), I want you to know that you will never walk alone. With Christ, there are no lonely moments. But, if you are not yet in Christ, you can do that now. Just say after me:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, but I confess my sins right now (mention them one by one…), and ask that you forgive me. I repent and accept You as my Lord and saviour. Thank you Lord for answering my prayers, in Jesus’ name I pray!

Congratulations if you have said that prayer, and sincerely accepted Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

Welcome to the family of the redeemed!

I want you to know that there is great joy now in heaven over you than over 99 saints, who do not need repentance.

Now, that you have given your life to Christ, I strongly encourage you to read your Bible and pray daily, also join a Bible – Believing Church!

The Lord bless you!

I love to hear from you, what did you gain from watching this match? Please share with me in the comments section below.

Howdy, before you leave, please share this post. There is love in sharing.

I love you!

LESSONS FROM THE FIRST QUARTER

Looking back, God has been faithful!

Every year is made up of 365.25 days.

I remember waking up on January 1, with a great desire to make the 365.25 days of this year count for me, for God and for eternity!

However, I have faced quite a number of
challenges in accomplishing them, but at another level, God has still been helping me break new ground. In fact, this formed part of the reason why I had to take a break!

This first quarter has also been eventful for me, as I have been to quite a number of places, such as the American International School of Lagos, Issele Uku in Delta State, and Ibadan.

I participated in the Hallelujah Challenge, I’m still in the Bible Reading and Evangelism Challenge

The basic lesson I’ve learned is that I must keep improving myself daily, I mean adding value to myself on a daily basis!

Usually, at the end of each week, I ask myself the following questions:
1. What goals did I achieve?
2. What Challenge did I encounter?
3. Did I keep ‘First things first’?
4. What is God telling me regarding this season

Before I go to the next question, I cannot but thank God for my bossom friend -Seyi Suulola, whom the Lord has been using to lift up my hands whenever I’m dropping them. God bless you Seyi.

5. Issues of prayer/How the other person can help (In my own case, Seyi)
6. How are we engaged in Discipling A Waiting Neighbor for Christ?
7. Where are we financially?
8. What’s our plan for achieving DAWN in concrete terms?

You can also ask yourself these questions and experience some of the transformations I’ve experienced in this first quarter.

Seriously I’m glad to be back to blogging, and more so, I’m glad you’re here with me.

And as we wrap up, I prophesy that the second quarter of this year would be more glorious for you. Every challenge you faced in the first quarter would not overcome you, and whatsoever you lay your hands upon shall prosper. You will reap a bountiful harvest of God’s goodness, in Jesus’ name! You are blessed.

Welcome to my world!

My Experience at the American International School of Lagos

So many times, an average Nigerian would fantasize about being in America, well I’m not exempt from this category. Smiles…

My first time in the American International School made me want to be in America for real, because I practically saw no difference between the school and what I expected to see in America.

Much more than the thrill of being in an ‘Americanized’ environment, I was able to learn some things, which I shall gladly tell you about.

1. Whatever field you are, improve yourself. Never remain at the same level for too long!

2. Connect with mentors, and network with experts. If you don’t have a mentor, prayerfully select one who is an expert in that area you desire one.

I and Mark Page

Beyond the lessons gained from the conference, I’d say it was an experience, I mean an eye opener for me, in the sense that I was challenged to be a global minded individual every single day I find myself on planet earth. ๐ŸŒ

Asides that, it was a reunion with a fellow alumni from UI, in the person of bro. Segun. Our picture is below ๐Ÿ‘‡

I and Bro. Segun

So, if you ask me, I’d say – don’t miss out on any opportunity you have to improve yourself!

So, where have you been recently that inspires you, kindly share with us in the comments section.

Shalom!

No Enemy Can Stand Against The Redeemed

God is building up a glorious church

By DLBC Choir

I strongly believe that God is raising an endtime church that will stand for truth and righteousness, no matter how evil the world is going to turn into.

Enjoy the lyrics of this song, as they are a sure word of prophecy about this endtime Church.

1. God is building up a glorious church,

Who will stand for truth and righteousness,
preach the gospel full and free to all, telling all about his love.
They have power over evil, purified and sanctified.
No enemy can stand against the redeemed,
O Lord build Your Church. Lord build Your Church.

Chorus:
As your children we are gathered, unto heaven we are looking.
Humbly kneeling at the cross, we ask you O Lord, to come build Your church.
Gates of hell will not prevail, โ€˜cos the church is marching onward.
No enemy can stand against the redeemed, O Lord build your church.

2. God is building up an end time Church,
Marching onward to the promised land.
They are members of the glorious church,
Bought by Jesus’ precious blood.
They have power over evil, purified and sanctified.
No enemy can stand against the redeemed,
O Lord build Your Church.
Lord build Your Church.

I’M BACK!

ASHSALT IS TAKING A BREAK!

Hello friends!!!

Honestly, Iโ€™ve been out of balance with my true blogging instincts for the past two to three weeks.

I should have written this post two weeks ago, but because of the fact that Iโ€™ve been busy here and there, I was unable to, but thank God it’s been written and published now! Gloooraaay!

Although my mind has been fully prepared to write, activities here and there just seemed to make me stop blogging.

I seriously need to spend some time away from blogging in solitude and personal retreat.

201904062153192700043969450173525.jpg

Recently, my life has been extremely busy. Iโ€™m tired of being tired sefโ€ฆ

Seriously, I must say that itโ€™s not easy to be a teacher, a secondary school teacher for that matter, and combine it with blogging!

Iโ€™d be taking a break from blogging for some time, letโ€™s say two weeks, or maybe a month.

Truth is, I might not be back till May, if God wills!

In the meanwhile, Iโ€™d be:
1. Engaging in the De-raconteurs Writers Training Course, Part 2, which Iโ€™m currently undergoing (Please kindly visit De-RACONTEUR.com for the concluding episodes of Smallville College).

2. Engaging in the Evangelism Challenge, Part 2, which is starting tomorrow, April 1st till on the 14th

3. Engaging in the three years Bible Reading Challenge.

4. Preparing to come back a better blogger, and God willing, start with a fully registered domain name! ๐Ÿ˜‡

5. Working on my unfinished blog series, such as the Beatitudes!

6. Honing my writing skills, in order to serve you better, and be a better source of inspiration to you.

7. Occasionally writing or posting content on facebook and my other social media accounts, especially for the Evangelism Challenge.

Thank you for being here every time. I love you.

See you at the top!

Shalom!
