Lessons from the Clay Pot!

I’m clay in the hands of my master… I mean It!

In times past, I used to be sad at the pace of my progress in spiritual things, as well as the rate at which I produced godly write ups!

In fact, prior to this time, I was always sad when I looked at my stats… 1, 12, 8, 6 viewers when I shared the post to over 50 individuals and more than 10 different groups. My best was 71 views on a particular day! I was really thrilled, but most times they were still very low after that, except for January when God gave the blog a resurgence, and it came up to 52 views on one beautiful day again. Praise the Lord!

Sometimes, God’s message to Baruch would speak to me “seek not great things for thyself ” but, I’d refuse to be comforted, I mean I’d be like why didn’t I discover my purpose on time? I mean my flair for literature? When compared to so and so, and such and such… but God would keep on encouraging me that He trained me to love mathematics for a purpose, and that’s why He led me to the “Commercial class”, so when the thought of regret seems to rear it’s ugly head, the bare fact that I was led by God to the Commercial class gives me joy.

Let me share you up with this piece of lovely music titled : “Little is much when God is in it!”

“In the harvest field now ripened,

There’s a work for all to do;

Hark, the voice of God is calling,

To the harvest calling you.

Does the place you’re called to labour

Seem too small and little known?

It is great if God is in it,

And He’ll not forget His own.

When the conflict here is ended

And our race on earth is run;

He will say, if we are faithful,

“Welcome home, My child well done.”

Chorus: Little is much when God is in it,

Labor not for wealth or fame;

There’s a crown and you can win it,

If you go in Jesus’ name.”

Then don’t compare yourself with brother or sister so and so… 2 Corinthians 10:12 says “For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”

I’ve prayed to the Lord to give me wisdom always, I mean wisdom never to compare myself with anyone, no matter how similar or dissimilar our life experiences have been!

Hence, I rejoice, especially when I feel like my brother Baruch in Jeremiah 45:3 where he said “Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.” like seriously, there have been days I’ve thought I’m not good at all, but Baruch’s story in Jeremiah 45 always encourage me.

So, I’m bringing God’s word to you today, does the place you’re called to labour seem so small and little known?

Don’t worry, do your best and leave the rest, because little is much when God is in it.

Rejoice, again I say “Rejoice”. Don’t despise the days of your little beginnings beloved!

I love you😘, please drop your comments about the encouragements you’ve received from the Lord, so your story can also encourage others.

How has this post blessed you? I’m so sure you’re blessed, I want to hear from you in the comments section. 😍

Lovelies, don’t leave please. Share ❤

Hello! I am Emmanuel Omenayam Ashibuogwu, but you can call me SALT. I am a Christian writer and lover of youths. My passion is to see God's word transform lives. Time management, personal development and purposeful living are my core interests. My goal for writing is not literary or artistic achievement, but to promote spiritual fruitfulness and an irresistible devotion to our purpose for being on this earth. I am a graduate of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. A geographer and Urban Planner by profession. I can act different roles in dramas (I hope you are not surprised… lol, well that’s a story for another day). I love to teach and mentor youths through His grace; I am also good at marketing. I advertise, write and of course, PRAY! I would love to meet you all as your lives are being touched for the better, but if we never meet, I pray that my writing would impart vision to your heart, while strengthening your foundation in Christ. See you at the top! You are welcome to my world!!!
